Mvt: Running, fine cosmetic mvt condition overall, darkened gilt tone with scattered spots and hazy discolorations to plates, some fine scratches, some fingerprint type etching at right side of barrel bridge, few specks of oxide to regulator needle; excellent dial with some scattered small edge flakes under bezel, group of tiny orange spots at 3; fine-plus hour and minute hands, fair seconds-hand has oxide; case front lift spring is not making contact with lid through final portion of opening range allowing lid to tip slightly back toward closed with gravity, case shows ample wear, scattered fine scratches to front and rear, dent to band bottom, dent to lower-left rear shoulder near edge, ding to band at 5:30, subtle ding to left front shoulder, tiny ding to rear near center, engine turning detail is almost fully lost with only subtle hints remaining at lower portions, reduced engraving detail; tight somewhat misshapen bow, brassy push shows ample wear; good glass crystal.
APW - Waltham, P.S. Bartlett, pre-Civil War era, Model 1857, 11J, 18S, 14K gold original HC, gold cuvette, white enamel dial, KWKS, diamond endstone, gilt mvt, s#37665. Gross weight of assembled watch 72.6 dwt (113.0 g). This movement is from a production run listed in Waltham factory records as having been made during August of 1860.
