Mvt: Running, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, bright plates with some scattered micro-fine scratches, some fine scratches to winding wheel, minor oxide to winding wheel and regulator assembly; dial with scattered hls, fine scratch to upper-left edge of center, few small edge flakes under bezel scattered to lower portion; fine hands; case with some metal loss to the inner lip of its rear at mvt's lower case screw position causing screw head to slip below case lip as seen in photo, case shows very little wear, no dents or dings, excellent engraving detail; tight bow, replacement crown of somewhat different color shows little wear; good glass crystal.
APW - Illinois, Grade 189, 21J, 16S, 14K gold OF recase with initials to rear, gold cuvette, white enamel DS dial, SW-LS, fully capped lever escapement, bright spotted pattern nickel damascene, s#1548988. Gross weight of assembled watch 61.3 dwt (95.4 g). The 189 was Illinois' finest quality Getty model movement and had a total production of only 600 made in the open face model.
