This auction of 140 lots featured the following:

American pocket watch highlights included an E Howard & Co Boston series V in 14K, Waltham Vanguard model 1892 in 14K rose gold, New York Watch Co marked C&NW RR (Chicago & Northwestern Railroad) with private label for “E R P Shurley, Chicago” in coin silver, Illinois Wilson Bros King of the Road, Ball Hamilton 23J grade 998 Elinvar, Waltham model 1888 in 14K, Hamilton 23J grade 950 Elinvar, Elgin B W Raymond in 14K, Waltham Appleton Tracy & Co model 1883 in 14K gold, Hamilton grade 933 low serial #1082 in sterling silver, Waltham with Lehigh Valley RR color dial, Elgin Veritas with winding indicator, Ball Elgin 21J grade 334,  Waltham lady’s 14K gold pendant watch, several Waltham model 1908 with winding indicators, and so much more!

European pocket watches featured a Swiss minute repeating chronograph in 14K rose gold, Swiss quarter repeater in 18K rose gold, L A Favre Guinand Locle in 18K, C Barbezat-Baillot Locle 8-day minute repeating travel watch retailed by Bigelow Kennard & Co, Kelbert Incabloc Antimagnetic manual triple register chronograph with tachymeter scale, two different Swiss coach watches with triple calendar and moon phase, English pocket chronometer with Earnshaw detent escapement in sterling, and many more.

Deck watches included an Elgin grade 412 free-sprung boxed and gimbaled deck watch with winding indicator and a  Hamilton model 22 21J winding indicator with “US Navy-BU Ships-1942” plate marking.

Wristwatches featured several manual chronographs to include Kelbert Incabloc Antimagnetic triple register, Bucherer Incabloc double register, Bovet double register, Liban Antimagnetic double register,  Delbana Antimagnetic double register, Accro Antimagnetic double register.  Other wristwatches are a LeCoultre Memovox manual two-train alarm, Wittnauer “2000” Automatic perpetual calendar display with day and date,  Seiko Sportura Kinetic chronograph, Elgin USA trench watch, Benrus manual triple calendar and more.

A 14K gold pocket case attracted attention with its rare and interesting feature of a photo portrait emulsion of a woman both on the cuvette and in ghost exposure on the underside of the front crystal, which reminiscent of the infamous spirit double exposures of the same period, and may indicate that the woman was deceased when the spirit image was done.

Lots of multiple items included writing instruments, American pocket watches, verge and/or lever fusees, European pocket watches, pocket watch movements, wristwatches, and a lot of two Zenith watch bands with butterfly clasps.

There is no jewelry in this auction, but don’t worry – some new consignments came in with plenty of jewelry for future auctions!
